
David and his wife Erica have been leading the congregation in Winnipeg, Canada since 1999 and have also served in varying leadership roles with the Toronto Church of Christ. He has been a disciple for over 28 years. David is employed by the church and Erica works at the university in higher education in Winnipeg. They have two adult sons (21, 20) that are disciples in the campus ministry.
David’s educational background is in Philosophy; Professional Counselling; Conflict Resolution and Mediation. He is currently enrolled in a Masters Program in Christian Counselling. David is a Registered Professional Counselor with the Canadian Professional Counselors Association (CPCA). He is a Qualified Mediator with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada (ADRIC). In addition, David also works as a consultant and trainer for a secular company in Winnipeg with a focus on mediation, conflict resolution and workplace performance training. He volunteers as a mediator with the Victim Offender Mediation Program for the Province of Manitoba.
David has facilitated workshops and training seminars throughout the US, Canada, Latin America and Asia in both Pastoral Counselling and Conflict Resolution. He has served as an instructor for the Canadian School of Missions (Toronto, Canada); the Ministry Development & Training Program (Minneapolis, US); the Asia Pacific Leadership Academy (Manila, Philippines) and has helped with conflict management for the International Churches of Christ.
During his spare time, David loves being with his family; the church and enjoys ice fishing. He is a big believer in life-long learning and strives to use the things that he has learned to build up the family of God.
